Obituary

Timothy Paul "Tim" Dewees, 67, of Wrightsville, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 30, 1957, in Chester County, he was the son of Frances Dewees and the late James Dewees.

A proud graduate of Eastern York High School, Tim was known as a hardworking and skilled craftsman. He was a Journeyman Electrician who spent his career in maintenance, lending his talents to US Steel, Penncast, H&H Castings, and Donegal Insurance Group. Beyond his professional life, he was dedicated to the safety of his neighbors, serving as a Captain of the Black Oak Fire Department for several years.

While Tim took pride in his work, his heart belonged to his family. He was blessed to share his life with his high school sweetheart and true love, Kim (Artz) Dewees. Together for 50 years, they built a life full of memories and enduring love.

Tim knew how to enjoy his downtime. He was an avid golfer and a regular at "The Club" in Marietta, where he had many friends who will miss his company. He also enjoyed playing softball and going camping with his family. Above all, Tim cherished his role as a grandfather; his heart was happiest when he was holding a fishing pole alongside his granddaughter, Maddie.

A service to celebrate Tim's life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. A visitation for friends and family will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the service following at 1:00 p.m. immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at Pleasant View Church (10384 Winterstown Rd, Red Lion, PA 17356).

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Kim; his mother, Frances Dewees; and his two sons, Jason Dewees (and wife Elena) and Joshua Dewees (and wife Jennifer). He was the proud grandfather to Victoria Dewees, Aron Dewees, Maddie Dewees, and Cash Horton. He is also survived by his siblings: Cynthia Kuhns (and husband Ed), Doug Dewees (and wife Lisa), and Patricia Yohe.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; his brothers, Stephen and Mark Dewees; and his beloved son, Justin Dewees.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Miracle Network in Tim's honor.
