Vernon Arthur Baldwin, 84, of Dallastown passed away in his home on Wednesday, February 24 th , under the care of hospice.

He was the son of the late John R. Baldwin and Sara E. (Strickler) Baldwin.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. (Diem) Baldwin, of 60 years; his son Tony L. Baldwin and his wife Ann R. Miller; his granddaughters Jessica C. Baldwin and Teresa E. Baldwin; his siblings Gary Baldwin and wife Norma, Janet Shepherd and husband Gerald, Lois (Becky) Eaton and husband Daniel, and Joan Mickey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Dean A. Baldwin and his brothers, Bernard Baldwin, Dale Baldwin and Larry Baldwin.

Vernon was born November 6, 1936 in Sunnyburn, PA. He worked on the farm, drove the milk truck, worked in construction, and finished off his working career at Caterpillar. He retired in 1996 after working there for 21 years. After retirement, Vernon enjoyed working on the woodlot in Winterstown, hunting, fishing and going to Potter County to spend time away with his family, picking fruits in the summer with his granddaughters, collecting state quarters, fixing cars and working in the garden; he was a handy man of all sorts. We called him the Jack of all trades, master of none.

A service to honor Vernon's life will be at held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 3 rd ,  at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow Red Lion Cemetery. All attendees are required to follow COVID-19 guidelines and wear a mask and practice social distancing.
