Obituary

Vickie Lynn (Harding) Quickel, 70, passed away at her home in York on August 13, 2022, where she fought courageously in

her battle against cancer. She fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished the race.

Born on September 6, 1951, she was the daughter the late Roy E. and Hazel M. (Geiseleman) Harding.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary E. Harding and sister, Nancy (Harding) Glatfelter.

She is survived by her niece, Jennifer Harding-Cawthorne, husband Dave and their son, Joseph, nephew Jeffrey E. Harding, his wife Carolyn, stepsons, Troy E. Quickel, fiance Michelle and Todd R.R. Quickel, his wife Brandi.

Vickie was a 1969 graduate of Dallastown Area High School.She was retired in 2015 as a supervisor from Electronic Manufacturing Services Group (EMSG,INC.)

Her interests included admiring the awesomeness of God, traveling, gardening and sharing laughter with others.  She faithfully attended Genesis Church in York New Salem. She was a church greeter and involved in the women's ministry.

Her final resting place will be at Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus. Interment will be held privately by the family.

A Celebration of Vickie's Life will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 1:00 PM at Genesis Church, 1405 Seven Valleys Rd. York, PA 17408. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider The Genesis Church Benevolent Fund, 1405 Seven Valleys Rd, York, PA 17408.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Vickie's church friends and classmates who helped in her journey for the last 18 months.
