Virginia (Heyne) Gembe, 95, of Dallastown, passed away peacefully at her son's house on Monday, July 19. She was the loving wife of Hershner Gembe for 70 years, until his passing in 2016.

Mrs. Gembe was born in York on September 24, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mazie (Bisker) Heyne.

Virginia loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They would always put a smile on her face. She loved to watch the birds at the feeders and was also a collector of roosters.

Virginia was the mother of Vickie Wiles, of Windsor, Martin Gembe and his wife Carol, of Red Lion, and Darlene Campbell, of Beverly Hills, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her son Rodney; sisters, Theresa and Josie; and her brothers, Ernest, Francis, Paul, Robert, and her twin brother Rayburn.

A graveside service to celebrate Virginia's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 26, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM.
