Obituary

Weldon Levere Arnold was fully restored in health, and returned back into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior July 8, 2025 at the age of 80.

Born in Chanceford Township on February 19, 1945, he was the second of four children born to the late Nelson and Flo E. (Gemmill) Arnold. Weldon married his forever love Wanda (Tyson) on November 24, 1962, and the two would go on to share sixty-two wonderful years together. Daughter Tammy soon followed the marriage to complete their family of three. To support his new family, Weldon began a career as a welder, and he worked for several local facilities including USG, Tate, Davey Products and Product, Design & Development. Granddaughters Brittany and Ashley came along in 1990 and 1993 respectfully, and with their arrival came another job title he took just as seriously- pappy to his girls. When he wasn't working, Weldon was an avid hunter, fisherman and was known to dabble in a round of golf. In addition, Weldon loved spending time with his family going on trips all over the country, with his favorite spot being the Outer Banks.

The title though that meant more to Weldon than husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle or friend, was the title of being a believer in Jesus Christ. Weldon was a faithful servant, sharing the good news of the gospel to anyone whom he came into contact with, and he was a devoted member of Red Lion Bible Church. Weldon lived his life centered around his faith and selfless love for his family. As his time on earth was coming to a close, he made it known to those around him that regardless of the outcome, he had complete peace and was already a winner in the eyes of his Lord.

In addition to his wife Wanda, he is survived by his daughter Tammy (Arnold) Kyper of Manchester and her boyfriend Paul Miller of York; granddaughters Brittany Kyper of Manchester, Ashley (Kyper) Mullins and her husband Christopher Mullins of York; brothers Sylvian Arnold of Red Lion, Julian Arnold and his wife Kathy of Windsor; and a sister Glenda (Arnold) Heffner of Red Lion.

Viewing and funeral services will be held Saturday July 12, 2025 at Red Lion Bible Church. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., with the service following immediately afterwards under the direction of Rev. Steven Schmuck.
