Wilbur Duane "Wib" Deppen, 80, passed away peacefully at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon PA, on Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was born December 6, 1943 in Brogueville, PA, the youngest of nine children born to the late Charles N. Deppen and the late Helen C. (Rollman) Deppen.

Wilbur proudly served in the United States Army from 1962 -1965 and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and badge for Rifle Marksmanship. He was a 56 year member of The Dallastown American Legion Post #605, where he served as Post Commander in 1981, served as finance officer for a number of years, and was also a member of the Color Guard and Legion Band.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Dallastown American Legion Post #605, 57 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Military honors will be provided by the Dallastown Color Guard.
