Obituary

William "Bill" G. Allen III, age 76, passed away peacefully at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the early morning hours of February 14, 2023. He was the loving husband of Dawn Allen and together they shared 28 years of marriage.

Bill was born October 3, 1946, in Baltimore, MD and was the son of William & Ruth Allen and the brother of Joann Wolf. He attended Poly Technical Institute in Baltimore, MD and continued his education at the University of Maryland.

He also served as a Medic in the Army National Guard. Bill continued to live in Maryland where he met Dollye and had 4 children: Kristen, Jonathan, Michael & Katie.

Bill worked at Maryland National & State National Bank for over 20 years. He continued his work at ADT & Vector Security where he obtained his well-known nickname "Burglar Bill".

Bill met the love of his life Dawn Marie, and they were married in 1994. Starting their life together in Germantown, MD they had 2 children, Lindsay & Patrick. In 2002 they relocated to Dallastown, PA and continued creating many memories together raising their children, traveling abroad and cruising the Caribbean.

Bill wore many hats in his family. He was the mechanic, the handy man, the taxi driver, the babysitter, the weeknight dinner chef, the pool boy, the master dish washer and our very own Superhero. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Baltimore Ravens, watching soccer and ghost adventures. Bill also loved being outside in the sun and near water. One of Bill's favorite hobbies was being "Pop" to his grandkids. He loved watching all of them grow, laugh and play.

Bill will be missed by all who knew him, especially his wife Dawn, his sister Joann, and his 6 children: Kristen Kavanaugh (Sean), Jonathan Allen, Michael Allen, Katie Allen, Lindsay Collison (Steven) & Patrick Allen (Arielle). His grandchildren, Braeden, Teagan, McKenna, Maddy, Kylie, AJ, Camryn, Carson & Cayden will miss him the most. He is also remembered and missed by a host of family and friends.
