Obituary

William L. Latchaw, 87, of York Township, passed away on Tuesday, January 26 th . He was the beloved husband of Norma Mae (Blessing) Latchaw for over 63 years, until her passing in 2016.

Mr. Latchaw was born in Shiloh on March 7, 1933 and was the son of the late William P. and May B. (Sargent) Latchaw.

William was an industrial engineer and previously worked for York Shipley, Gichner Shelter Systems and was currently working as an independent sales representative for Schaeffer Oil. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Dallastown and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed fishing, especially surf fishing at the beach.

He is survived by his two daughters, Debra S. Eisenhart and her husband, Kenneth, of York and Pamela A. Elicker and her husband, Gregg, of Dallastown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Cora Latchaw, Florence Rosen, Beatrice Kimes, Phyllis Gordon, and Robert Latchaw.

Funeral services and interment are private. The family is planning on a Celebration of Life service at a future date.

The family asks that contributions be made to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, PO Box 17029, Baltimore, MD 21297-1029.
